CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETING

What is it?

• One interpreter translates between two or more parties
• The interpreter takes notes on a notepad and translates consecutively
• The speakers pauses every 2-5 minutes so the interpreter can translate

When do I need it?

• In smaller bilingual settings of two to five people or between one speaker and a larger audience
• Examples: business meetings, workshops, diplomatic encounters, factory visits, speeches, etc.
• Time frame: shorter periods of up to three hours, since consecutive interpreting takes more time (since the interpreter has to repeat the original speech in the target language)

TRANSLATION

What is it?

• Translation is the transfer of written text from one language into another.
• Examples: Websites, user manuals, brochures, leaflets, books, documents, etc.

When do I need it?

• If you want to expand your business for a greater audience
• If you need to be able to understand a document/text/letter etc. received in a foreign language

CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETING

1 day (=7h) .......... EUR 780.- + 20% Austrian VAT
1/2 day       .......... EUR 600.- + 20% Austrian VAT

*excl. possible travel expenses and per diems.

TRANSLATION

Ger > En | En > Ger | Fr > Ger | Fr > En

Line fee .................. EUR 1.90 - EUR 2.50 + 20% Austrian VAT
Express fee ............+40-100% for deadlines of 24h and less

*varies according to degree of specialist terminology;
1 standard line = 55 keystrokes.
